Who is Neil Gaiman?

Neil Gaiman is a tour de force of creative talent. He is the bestselling author of Coraline and Stardust, both of which are major motion films. Neil also co-wrote the script for Beowulf starring Anthony Hopkins and Angeline Jolie. He is the creator/writer of the award-winning Sandman comic series and has written several books for children. His latest title, The Graveyard Book, won the Teenage Booktrust Prize 2009. Neil has been immortalised in song by Tori Amos, and is a songwriter himself. Brodor o Gwm Prysor, Trawsfynydd yn wreiddiol ydi Dewi, ac mae o'n enw cyfarwydd trwy Gymru bellach. Saer maen oedd ei alwedigaeth cyn iddo droi at lenyddiaeth a cherddoriaeth. Mae o'n ganwr-gyfansoddwr gyda'r band reggae a pync Vates. Mae'n byw yn Llan Ffestiniog gyda'i wraig a thri o feibion.

Rifiera Reu yw ei chweched nofel i oedolion. Enwyd Lladd Duw (Y Lolfa) ar restr Fer Llyfr y Flwyddyn 2011 ac fe gyrhaeddodd ei nofel ddiwethaf, Cig a Gwaed (Y Lolfa) Restr Fer Gwobr Llyfr y Flwyddyn 2013.

Yn 1992, cyhuddwyd Prysor o 'gynllwynio i achosi frwydradau' fel rhan o ymgyrch losgi Meibion Glyndwr. Treuliodd 14 mis yn y ddalfa yng Ngharchar Walton, Lerpwl wrth aros ei achos llys. Yn dilyn yr achos yn Llys y Goron, Caernarfon fe'i cafwyd yn ddieuog. Ysgrifennod ddrama ynglyn a'i brofiadau, sef DW2416, a pherfformiwyd hi 25 gwaith gan Llwyfan Gogledd Cymru.
